A promotional event was organized at Alanya Maritim Hotel Club Alantur with the participation of Öger Tour’s top 120 agencies to increase their sales power. As of April 10, Diana Travel, which is the sole authorized company in all of Öger Tour’s operations in Turkey, will welcome all guests following the conclusion of the agreement with Holiday Plan. Öger Tour General Manager Björn Walther stated that 2013 was a good year in which targets were achieved and expressed their belief that they will generate better sales with new hotels in 2014.

A cocktail was held at Maritim Hotel Club Alantur for representatives who promoted the beauties of Alanya for three days, with the aim of increasing their sales power. To enable the representatives to get to know Turkish culture closely, a representative program was also organized that would not fall short of a real henna night and wedding. Alanya District Governor Erhan Özdemir, Türkiye Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member and Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals (ALTİD) President Burhan Sili, Öger Tour General Manager Björn Walther, and Diana Travel General Manager Burak Tonbul also attended the evening.
'ALANYA IS THE MOST SPECIAL DESTINATION'
Evaluating the presence of Öger Tour’s top 120 agencies in Alanya, Diana Travel Board Member and General Manager Tonbul stated, “We are hosting 120 agencies in Alanya with the contributions of the Alanya District Governorate, ALTİD, and Maritim Hotel Club Alantur. Alanya is an important and special destination of Antalya. We wanted to host our special guests in a special place. Our guests have been in Alanya for 3 days. They have gotten to know Alanya more closely. I assume they are all happy. They will return to their countries to sell Türkiye with pleasure.”
DIANA TRAVEL WILL WELCOME ALL ÖGER GUESTS
Diana Travel will welcome all guests of Öger Tour, which was purchased 3 years ago by one of the world's largest tour operators, Thomas Cook, in Turkey. Diana Travel, one of Turkey's important brands that began conducting Öger Tour's winter operations in Istanbul and the Aegean Region as of November 1, 2013, became the sole authorized company for all of Öger Tour's operations in Turkey as of April 10. Holiday Plan previously managed Öger Tour's Turkey operations. With the termination of its agreement with Holiday Plan, Öger Tour came under the umbrella of Diana Travel, just like Thomas Cook's other brands.

With the termination of the agreement, Öger Tour, like other Thomas Cook brands, has come under the umbrella of Diana Travel. A significant portion of the guests we will host from Germany will consist of Öger guests.”
'OUR GOAL IS TO GROW THE ÖGER BRAND'
Stating that Öger Tour is an important brand for Türkiye, Tonbul said, “Thomas Cook is part of Öger Tour’s strategy to preserve its Turkish identity. Our goal is to grow this brand of Türkiye.”
'2014 WILL BE THE YEAR OF TURKEY IN GERMANY'
Afterward, evaluating Öger Tour’s 2013 season in Türkiye and making statements regarding 2014 expectations, Öger Tour General Manager Walther said, “For the upcoming winter, we want the hotels and our partners in Türkiye to be better prepared.”
EGYPT EVENTS AND GTI
Stating that 2013 was a good year for Öger Tour, Björn Walther said that they had reached their goals in Türkiye. Walther spoke as follows: “By reaching our goal, we have grown in Türkiye. In addition to us being experts in Türkiye, the events in Egypt and the bankruptcy of GTI reflected positively on us.”
WE WILL CREATE BETTER SALES WITH NEW HOTELS
Stating that 2014 is looking good, Walther continued his remarks as follows: “We had a very good winter in 2014. We are satisfied with the winter months. From our perspective, the summer season also looks quite good. Many new hotels are opening in Turkey every year. This will also bring benefits to us. We believe that we will generate better sales together with the hotels we work with on a long-term basis and the hotels that will newly open. We are experts in Istanbul, Antalya, and the Aegean. We have included Ankara, Adana, and the Black Sea coasts in our tours.”
'WE WANT THE HOTELS TO CONTINUE THEIR DEVELOPMENT'
Political stability is a prerequisite for hosting more tourists. Above all, this is required. Turkey is very good in terms of hotels. We visited a few hotels and the region in Alanya. We saw how rapid the development has been. We desire for this stability to continue.
'TURKISH HOTELS SHOULD BE BETTER PREPARED FOR WINTER'
“We have prepared well for this summer season. We believe that this year will be the year of Türkiye in Germany. As for the upcoming winter, we want our hotels and partners to be more prepared.”
