The Alanya Visitor Information Office was established in 2004 through a collaboration between Alanya Municipality, ALTİD, and ALTSO. Its purpose is to provide visitors within Alanya with information regarding addresses and various topics related to the region. Since its opening, the office has been tracking its activities on a monthly basis, based on the questions and issues raised by visitors.
May 2019 Statistics: During the month of May, 314 people visited the visitor information office. Of these, 308 people visited the office in person, while 6 people contacted the office via the phone number 0 (242) 511 94 00. Out of the 314 inquiries, 308 people sought information, 4 requested assistance, and 2 requested translation services. The visitors included 75 Germans (24%), 41 British citizens (13%), 38 Scandinavians (12%), 26 Dutch citizens (8%), 10 Turkish citizens (3%), 53 Russian citizens (17%), and the remaining 71 people (23%) were from various other nationalities.
Information was provided to the visitors regarding places to visit in the region 258 times, directions to various addresses were given 131 times, and information on transportation to different areas was provided 110 times. In addition to information and directions, a total of 151 various maps and brochures were distributed.
From its opening on August 19, 2004, to March 1, 2019, a total of 64,793 people have visited the visitor information office. This translates to an average of 10 people per day, 364 people per month, and an average of 4,050 people per year.
