Antalya Governor Alaaddin Yüksel visited ALTİD

ALTİD President Güner stated that tourism revenues in Alanya would fall behind by 20% compared to last year and that the region is not where it deserves to be regarding pricing. While addressing the importance of extending the Gazipaşa Airport runway, Güner expressed that increasing penalties for marine, environmental, and noise pollution would be the solution. Furthermore, emphasizing that the deficiencies in the Mahmutlar section of the D-400 highway must be completed, Güner requested that a study be conducted to determine how many of the tourists arriving at Antalya Airport come to Alanya.

In his speech, President Güner emphasized that tourism in Alanya is progressing rapidly, and after providing brief information about ALTİD, stated that Alanya is not at the price level it deserves, and that the biggest problem is revenue, noting that we will close the season 20% behind last year in terms of tourism revenue. Stating that they hope Gazipaşa Airport will positively affect their tourism, Güner emphasized that the extension of the runway is quite important for their tourism. Among the most significant problems of our region, we are of the opinion that increasing penalties regarding sea, environmental, and noise pollution will be useful in solving this issue. Noting that illegal vendors are creating trouble and that very serious accidents are occurring on the Mahmutlar section of the D-400 highway, Güner expressed that it is of vital importance to urgently complete deficiencies such as lighting and medians on this road. He requested that a study be conducted to determine how many of the tourists arriving at Antalya Airport come to Alanya.
