The Chairman of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD), Burhan Sili, announced that following discussions at the 54th ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, the process of recovering reservations that were halted due to the earthquake disaster is beginning this week. Sili stated that the season is expected to become active starting in May and will return to normal in June, while emphasizing the need for accurate pricing without compromising quality due to rising costs. At the fair, Alanya's sea, sand, and sun offerings, as well as health tourism services, were promoted. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Berlin, Ahmet Başar Şen, were also among the visitors.

Burhan Sili, Chairman of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association, stated, "Reservations that had stopped due to the earthquake disaster have now resumed."
Alanya was promoted at the 54th ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, held in Berlin, Germany, after a 3-year hiatus. Following the fair visits, Burhan Sili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) and the President of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD), shared his impressions and stated that, based on discussions with travel agency representatives and tour operators, the planning and reservations are meeting the expectations of Turkish tourism professionals. Emphasizing that sector representatives should pay attention to cost increases, President Sili made the following statement:
'OPERATIONS WILL COMMENCE FROM MAY.'
This year, Alanya participated in the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, which was held after a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic. We held meetings with all representatives from source markets that send guests to our region. As a result of these meetings, we learned that reservations had stopped during the period of the earthquake disaster in our country, but that a recovery process has begun this week. We expect the season to pick up starting in May, and to return to normal in June, following the losses in reservations experienced during this 3-4 week period. We believe that if there are no negative developments during the summer season, we will have a good season.
One of our most significant challenges this season is the rising costs, so we must be very careful with pricing. We need to maintain the season with accurate pricing without compromising our quality. During the fair, we participated with materials and promotional items to promote our "sea, sand, and sun" products at the Antalya stand. We also opened a booth in the health section to showcase the health-related units and services available in Alanya. Our stand was open to visitors, aiming to extend the season and attract guests with a wider range of products and higher added value. Our Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, emphasized health tourism in particular during his statements at ITB. We also had the opportunity to discuss developments in tourism during a meeting with him. The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Berlin, Mr. Ahmet Başar Şen, was also among our visitors. We conveyed the greetings of the Mayor of Alanya to him and presented him with a silk cocoon artwork, a product specific to Alanya.
