On behalf of the Alanya Sailing Club Team, athlete Deniz Öksüz and Coach Cemal Özdiyar visited the management of the Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals (ALTİD) and presented a plaque of appreciation to ALTİD President Burhan Sili on behalf of the board of directors for their support of the sport of sailing. Receiving the plaque from the hands of 2004-born Deniz Öksüz, a promising sailor who participates in international competitions three times a year, President Sili expressed his happiness regarding the efforts made to further strengthen sports tourism. Coach Özdiyar provided information about the Alanya Sailing Club's activities and stated the following: We have trained 1999-born national team athlete İlayda Kodal in the “Laser 4.7” class at the Alanya Sailing Club. This athlete is a very important asset for Alanya and serves as a very good example for other athletes. Our club, which operates with 4 boats and 30 athletes, has sister club protocols with the Notk yachting club located in Athens, Greece, and the Friend of the Sea Yachting club located in Thessaloniki. For this reason, we participate in international competitions held in Greece three times a year. Within the coming year, we will host a large delegation consisting of managers, athletes, and families from these clubs in Alanya.
