At the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), which is considered among the world's most important tourism fairs, the Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals is conducting promotion with a specially prepared 63-square-meter stand under the Alanya brand for the 20th time.

“ALANYA IS A WORLD CITY”

Sharing his impressions regarding the fair, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel stated, ”EMITT, which sees participation from 70 countries, holds great importance for world tourism. Following the developments experienced on a global scale, the domestic market has finally gained great importance. We are also continuing our efforts in every field of promotion for our region. Unfortunately, there is the reality of terrorism everywhere in the world that restricts people's freedom of travel. This is neither a political, nor a moral, nor a humanitarian situation. At EMITT in Istanbul, however, there is a very important togetherness for world peace. Alanya is a world city that hosts dozens of international sports competitions. We felt this sincerely during our meetings with foreign guests who visited our stand at this fair,” he said.

“EARLY RESERVATION NUMBERS ARE HIGH IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET”

Stating that the pulse of tourism is beating at EMITT, which is among the world's most prestigious fairs, Burhan Sili, President of the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) and Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED), said, “Due to the stagnation in Europe and the decline in Russia, the domestic market carries more importance this year. In our meetings, we received the impression that domestic market early bookings are above last year's figures. On the other hand, we are also conducting our regional promotion through the local and foreign press members participating in the fair.”

“OUR DOMESTIC MARKET GROWTH EXPECTATION IS 25 PERCENT”

Stating that EMITT has gained much more importance this year, Suat Çavuşoğlu, President of the Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK) of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), made the following statement: “We aim to close the foreign market deficit with the domestic market. We expect a 25 percent increase from the domestic market this year.”

“DOMESTIC MARKET WILL BE A CUTTHROAT COMPETITION”

Skal Kulübü Alanya President Mehmet Nedanlı also stated, “The hope of tourism professionals lies in the domestic market. Even companies we are accustomed to seeing in the foreign market have entered the domestic market. This year will be a fierce competition.”

“WE WILL UTILIZE OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET”

Ziya Ünal, General Coordinator of www.pasotatil.com, stated, “We have entered the domestic market this year. We have a wide market network abroad. We want to utilize this experience in the domestic market as well. We are receiving demand for Alanya from many cities, primarily Istanbul, Ankara, Konya, Kocaeli, Eskişehir, and Trabzon.”

“ALANYA: THE WINDOW OPENING TO THE WORLD”

MHP Group Deputy Chairman Oktay Vural, who visited the Alanya stand, stated in his announcement, “We have a beautiful homeland and we are hospitable. Alanya is one of Turkey’s distinguished locations and is its window to the world.” Vural received information regarding regional tourism.
