The International Sericulture and Silk Weaving Symposium will be held at the Alanya Cultural Center between October 25-28, 2011, in cooperation with the Presidency of the Atatürk Cultural Center, the Rectorate of Akdeniz University, the Alanya District Governorate, Alanya Municipality, the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and our association.
85 faculty members from domestic and international sources are participating in the symposium, which includes topics such as the status of silkworm cultivation in Türkiye, silk weaving, live cocoons in Anatolia, silkworm production from the past to the present, examples from various countries, as well as the Alanya and World Silks workshop.
