Hulusi Doğan, the District Governor of İstanbul Avcılar, who visited the fair, characterized the exhibition of Alanya's tourism values at EMITT over the years as a significant success and congratulated the management of ALTİD and ALTAV.

The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), which has opened its doors for the 19th time at the İstanbul Beylikdüzü TÜYAP Fair Center, continues with the participation of 71 countries and more than 4,500 institutions, organizations, and municipalities.
On the second day of the 19th EMITT, held this year, tourism professionals from Alanya conducted their meetings at the specially designed stand prepared by the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD).
“GUEST-ORIENTED PROMOTION WILL BE CONDUCTED”
Stating that Alanya hoteliers will take measures regarding the economic crisis occurring in Russia, ALTİD Board Member Mevlüt Kılınç said, “Among these measures are the widespread use of social sharing platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as direct guest-oriented promotional activities like billboards, bus wraps, and Alanya holiday raffles in public areas, in addition to trade fairs. In other words, we will not fall behind in trade fair promotions, but we will also place emphasis on the online market.”
“THERE IS A CONTRACTION IN THE RUSSIAN MARKET”
Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) Board Member Recep Tolga Gürel, stating that there has been a decrease in the number of Russian tourists in Egypt, which experiences its high season during the winter period, made the statement, “This situation serves as an indicator for us. Turkey will also take its share from the contraction experienced in the Russian market.”
“LOW RISK VOLUME”
Hamdi Albayrak, one of the partners of Tivrona Tur, pointed out the importance of the online market, stating, “Internet sales, which are growing day by day both domestically and abroad, are surpassing the world's largest tour operators.” Providing information on the subject, Albayrak said, “Agencies operating online receive payment for the product in advance. In a tourism economy where bankruptcies occur frequently, the risk volume of the online market is lower. In this market, the agency, the hotelier, and the guest can achieve the greatest advantages.”
“PURCHASING IS DONE VIA MOBILE PHONE”
Mehmet Nedanlı, Vice President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK), stated that as young minds take charge in the tourism arena, the online market economy is steadily growing. Nedanlı said, “Guests now prefer to carry out accommodation and flight ticket purchasing transactions from their mobile phones.”
“YEARS OF SUCCESS”
Hulusi Doğan, the former Alanya District Governor and current District Governor of Avcılar, İstanbul, who visited the Alanya stand of ALTİD, which has been conducting tireless promotions at EMITT for 19 years, stated that the continuous exhibition of Alanya's tourism values at EMITT over the years is a significant achievement and made the following statement: “I congratulate the management of ALTİD and the Alanya Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) for their efforts.”
