Officials of the newly established Alanya Food and Beverage Managers Association (AYİY-DER) visited the Board of Directors of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD). During the visit, which AYİY-DER President Deniz Kanar conducted alongside founding members İbrahim Sar and Mehmet Erat, Kanar provided information regarding the purpose of their establishment and discussed what kind of collaborative work could be carried out with ALTİD. Stating that personnel turnover is quite high in the food and beverage departments of the tourism sector due to the young workforce, Kanar noted that through their organizational structures, they aim to both increase customer satisfaction and the quality of businesses while simultaneously ensuring employee continuity. Kanar expressed that they would be able to provide support with qualified personnel during the periods businesses require it through the personnel pool they will create. Stating that personnel training would be prioritized, Kanar said that their membership numbers are 250 in the initial stage and that this number will rise to around 2,500 in a short time, and that they will operate in a wide area encompassing Okurcalar to Gazipaşa, adding, “We will create a professional perception by preventing the job opportunities in the food and beverage departments of the tourism sector from being viewed as temporary.”
