Waste accumulating on the seabed is being washed ashore by waves reaching up to 2 meters, causing pollution. The cleaning team of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) is working to remove this pollution. Throughout the day, cleaning efforts are underway in the eastern and western regions of Alanya, restoring the beaches to their former appearance. Burhan Sili, Chairman of ALTİD, stated that city cleanliness cannot be achieved solely by institutions and that citizens must be sensitive. He explained that waste thrown into drains and river channels causes significant pollution on the beaches after heavy rainfall.

Waste accumulating on the seabed is being washed ashore by waves reaching up to 2 meters. The Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) cleaning team is working to eliminate the resulting pollution. Beaches in the eastern and western regions of Alanya are being restored to their former appearance through day-long efforts. ALTİD Chairman Burhan Sili reminded that they have been carrying out landscaping and cleaning work on the beaches for 12 months. "City cleanliness cannot be achieved only by institutions and cleaning personnel. Our local and foreign citizens, especially those who reside here, need to be very sensitive. Waste such as cigarette butts thrown into drains or plastic bottles thrown into streams that flow into the sea, causes significant pollution on the beaches after heavy rainfall," he said.
