Burhan Sili, Chairman of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association, stated, "Health and hygiene standards will be more important than ever in the vacation choices of our guests."

Led by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and prepared in collaboration with stakeholders in the sector, the "Healthy Tourism Certification Program," one of the first of its kind in the world, aims to provide safe holiday services to both domestic and foreign guests. Hasan Demirtaş, the Mediterranean Regional Coordinator of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), visited the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) regarding the voluntary certification program. He also visited Burhan Sili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı (Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency) and the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED), and the President of ALTİD. During the meeting, which was also attended by Özkan Ünal, a member of the ALTİD Board of Directors, Demirtaş stated that the tourism businesses that have earned the right to receive the certification are announced on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, that TSE is one of the institutions authorized by the Ministry, and that they invite ALTİD member hotel operators to work with TSE.

"CERTIFIED FACILITIES WILL BE IN THE FOREFRONT."

President Burhan Sili emphasized that while the certification program is not mandatory, businesses that meet the criteria and obtain the "Healthy Tourism Certification" will be one step ahead of other institutions in terms of marketing and trust. He stated, "The certificate, which will be displayed in the facilities, will include information about the institution that issued it and a QR code. Guests staying at the facilities will be able to access the report of the inspection applied to the business through this QR code, providing a form of self-control. This transparent process will also increase the sense of peace and security among both domestic and foreign guests. At the same time, businesses will be a preferred choice for guests seeking safe accommodation facilities both domestically and internationally."
