Alanya was promoted at the World Travel Market tourism fair held in London from November 5th to 7th. Gürol Birgen, a member of the Board of Directors of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), stated that many hotel and agency representatives from Turkey were present at the fair, and emphasized that British tourists have a great interest in Turkey, saying, "It is very gratifying to encounter the high demand we have been missing." Birgen also stated, "According to the reservations already made for the 2019 tourism season, the increase appears to be 25%."
