The Board of Directors of the Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı, chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, has elected Burhan Sili, President of ALTİD from the Mediterranean region, and Erkan Yağcı, President of AKTOB.
The Board of Directors of the Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı (TGA), chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, held its election for the Mediterranean Region at the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO). According to the ballot results, Burhan Sili, Chairman of the Alanya Touristic Operators Association (ALTİD) and Member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Hotels Federation (TÜROFED), received 170 votes, and Erkan Yağcı, Chairman of the Mediterranean Tourist Hotels and Operators Association (AKTOB), received 213 votes, and were elected as members of the TGA Board of Directors for the Mediterranean Region. Elif Özdemir, Manager at Gloria Hotels, received 12 votes.
ABOUT THE AGENCY STRUCTURE
The Agency, chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, will include regional representatives selected through an election. In addition, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, the General Manager of the Ministry's Promotion Department, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines (THY), and individuals appointed by the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) General Directorate to represent airport and terminal operators (the top-performing operator based on revenue, selected every three years in rotation) will serve as members of the board of directors without participating in the election. The TGA Board of Directors consists of a total of 15 members.
