The 6th and final meeting of the 2017 Regional Consultation Meetings organized by the Alanya Association of Tourist Operators (ALTİD) has been held. The hosts for this week's meetings, where general regional and tourism-oriented problems were addressed and future solutions were discussed, were the hotel operators of Kestel, Mahmutlar, and Kargıcak. At the meeting held at the Utopia World De Luxe Hotel, which was also attended by Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, the following topics were discussed: ‘All-inclusive and alternative systems’, ‘Comparative evaluations of the years 2015-2016-2017’, ‘Evaluation of the normalization process in tourism and the measures to be taken during this process’, ‘The decline experienced in the increase of bed supply’, ‘Achieving high quality at low cost’, ‘The perspective of European countries, primarily Germany, towards Türkiye’, ‘Evaluations regarding the 2018 flight planning of tour operators operating in the European market’, ‘The development of the online market and the importance of social media’, ‘New source markets China, India, Iran’, and ‘Increasing product diversity in tourism’.
SİLİ: WE WILL MEET WITH AGENCY REPRESENTATIVES
Stating that they held meetings in the 6 regions where Alanya hotels are predominantly located, ALTİD President and Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member Burhan Sili said, “We have completed our regional meetings, which included our Mayor, Mr. Yücel. In light of the discussions held, we will evaluate the contributions that we believe will shape the future of our region's tourism sector and share them with our members. I would like to thank our tourism professionals who contributed to our meetings. As we have done in previous years, we will repeat these meetings in the coming years. Additionally, in the near future, we will organize another meeting with high participation where we will conduct mutual evaluations with our hotel operators and our friends who are agency representatives.”
YÜCEL: WE HAVE EXAMINED THE PROBLEMS REGION BY REGION
Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel also stated that the regional meetings have been very productive, saying, “By meeting with tourism industry representatives many times in a short period, we discussed problems and solutions on a region-by-region basis. We examined the problems of the sector. We listened to the grievances of tourism professionals. I hope that we will contribute to Alanya tourism through the common decisions and implementations we will reach as a result of these meetings. I would like to thank our ALTİD President, the management, and the tourism professionals who participated in organizing these regional meetings.”
