The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) will participate in the Intourmarket fair to be held in Russia on March 11-13 and the MITT Moscow fair to be held on March 14-16. Making a statement on the subject, the Vice President of ALTAV and the Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals (ALTİD), Mehmet Dahaoğlu, said, “The Russian market is indispensable for Antalya and Alanya tourism. The recent political reconciliation and the fact that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov came to Alanya, which is a center of attraction for Russians, to engage in diplomatic contacts with our Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has resonated greatly in Russia. While this meeting conveys diplomatic messages, it has also carried Antalya and Alanya to the summit in terms of regional security, image, and promotion.”

Stating that if the course of these positive developments does not change, the Russian market, which reached the brink of closure in 2016 due to the plane shoot-down crisis, could achieve a historic record in 2017, Dahaoğlu made the following statement: “As ALTAV, we will participate under the Ministry's umbrella at the Intourmarket and MITT Moscow fairs, which will be held consecutively in Moscow. At MITT Moscow, where the pulse of the Russian market beats, we will also carry out our promotional activities with a special 40-square-meter Alanya stand. In addition to the distribution of Alanya-themed promotional products at our stand, there will also be visual shows and holiday gift raffles. The photographs taken of Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and our Minister in Alanya will also be used in our promotions.”
