Tuğba Kandırmaz, Fatma İlhan, Beste Dinç, and Melike Türkyılmaz, first-year Industrial Engineering students at Akdeniz Üniversitesi (AÜ) Alanya Faculty of Engineering, directed their questions regarding the tourism sector and hotel operations—their assignment topics for the “Production Methods” course—to Burhan Sili, Member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Otelciler Federasyonu (TÜROFED) and President of the Alanya Turistik İşletmeciler Derneği (ALTİD). Hosting the university students for an interview that lasted approximately half an hour, Sili stated that it is of great importance to transfer their experiences and knowledge gained in the sector to the students, and expressed that they are always by the side of the youth, who possess the energy that will shape the future of the country's economy and elevate its brand value.
