The 4th Alanya Municipality International Golden Ladle Cooking Competition, attended by hundreds of domestic and foreign chefs, caused a stampede at the Alanya Cultural Center. The international competition, for which the Alanya Association of Tourist Operators is the accommodation sponsor, will conclude on Sunday, October 26, and awards will be presented in 26 categories throughout the competition.
While ambitious cooks from every region of Türkiye and from abroad, including countries such as Lithuania, Russia, Latvia, Serbia, and Greece, sweat in the competitions, renowned chef jury members who hold a significant place in world gastronomy from the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Greece, South America, Bolivia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Germany exert intense effort to select the best.
In the opening speech of the competition organized by the Altın Kepçe Chefs Association under the auspices of Alanya Municipality, Burhan Sili, Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) and President of the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD), who thanked those who contributed to bringing one of Turkey's most important culinary competitions to Alanya, said, “We believe that this competition will have even broader participation in the years to come.”
Speaking after the President of the Altın Kepçe Chefs Association Mustafa Nail Özden, who stated that the competition is being sustained with an increasing number of participants every year, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel said, “It is quite a matter of pride that our food competition, which has been held at a national level for three consecutive years, is being held on an international scale this year and has achieved widespread participation. We are very happy to be in Alanya with our guests who are experts in the field of gastronomy at an international level. During the competition, we are also introducing local home-cooked meals and Alanya dishes to the world.
