Alanya was represented at this fair by the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV). The President of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD), Burhan Sili, and the Vice Presidents of ALTAV/ALTİD, Mehmet Dahaoğlu, held various meetings at the fair.
At the Alanya stand, which is located under the Ministry's umbrella, visitors to the fair were provided with information about Alanya's tourism potential, and promotional materials were distributed.
According to information obtained through contacts with Erdem Acır, Advisor at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, and other sources, 1,100,000 Dutch tourists (1,083,763 between January and November 2019) visited Türkiye in 2019, and the target for 2020 is approximately 1,300,000.
During the fair, meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, tour operators, travel agencies, and airlines. These discussions revealed that the increasing demand for Turkey and Alanya, which was observed in 2020, is expected to continue. According to the data obtained, Corendon's sales increased by approximately 10%, while TUI's sales increased by around 20%. Representatives of other companies also reported similar increases. However, these increases were assessed as being a continuation of the growth previously experienced due to Thomas Cook. Nevertheless, it was also determined that the Netherlands/Belgium markets are expected to show an average increase of approximately 10% compared to the previous year.
