April 15-22 is celebrated as Tourism Week. The Alanya District Tourism Week Celebrations began with a ceremony held at 10:00 at the Atatürk Monument, following the arrival of a motorized procession at the Atatürk Monument that had departed from the Alaattin Keykubad Monument at 09:30 on Monday, April 18, 2011. The ceremony, which continued with a moment of silence and the National Anthem after the wreath-laying ceremony, included opening speeches by ALTİD President Gülçin Güner, Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu, and Alanya District Governor Hulusi Doğan. The event concluded with treats provided by chefs following the folk dance performances.
