Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu, who thanked the captain and the crew for the plaque, presented a model ship made of driftwood to the captain, Mr. John Pratt. After chatting with Captain Pratt for a while on the deck against the view of Alanya Castle, Mayor Sipahioğlu also provided information regarding the Castle's historical past, cultural richness, and its UNESCO World Heritage candidacy.
Departing from the Port of Limassol in Southern Cyprus, the Thomson Celebration will set sail for the ports of Alexandria, Port Said, and Haifa after leaving Alanya. The ship will arrive in Alanya for its 3rd voyage from Limassol on April 19.
