“THERE ARE 7 REGIONAL ASSOCIATIONS IN ALANYA”
Stating that they evaluate the problems experienced in Alanya and national tourism, along with the steps that need to be taken, in conjunction with tourism developments occurring on a global scale, ALTİD President and Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member Burhan Sili said that there are 7 regional associations from Alara to Kargıcak and that each association experiences its own unique problems. He expressed that, in order to be closer to regional issues, regional association presidents will be directly included in the ALTİD management through an amendment to be made to the ALTİD charter, and that this change will add strength to both the ALTİD management, the regional association managements, and the Alanya tourism lobby. Sili stated that with the upcoming charter amendment, they are preparing to include Municipality-licensed facilities, which fall outside of Ministry-licensed tourist facilities, into the ALTİD structure by establishing certain criteria and conducting evaluations within the framework of these criteria, saying, “We are receiving significant support from hotel owners and operators regarding the charter amendment.”
