ALTAV's Ordinary General Assembly Meeting was held. During the general assembly, the new members of the management, audit, and advisory committees were determined.
The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) held its 2024 General Assembly with elections at the Alanya Culture Center. The General Assembly began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem. The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Mehmet Dahaoğlu, former Vice President of ALTAV.
"We worked to represent ALANYA in the best possible way."
Since assuming office, Dahaoğlu has stated that they have been working for Alanya in collaboration with all stakeholders. "Under the umbrella of ALTAV, we have worked tirelessly for Alanya, together with important institutions, tourism professionals, journalists, and business people, and have implemented many projects. Today, we will present to you the details of our activities and the budget for 2023, which we have carried out with my colleagues with whom I am happy to work. As members of the ALTAV board, we have been doing great work with great pleasure, excitement, pride, dedication, and peace since we took office. Within the scope of our capabilities, it is a great honor to be able to convey the values of Alanya to those who need to know, for example, by adding unscheduled flights to the Alanya-GZP Airport. It is a great honor to be appreciated by our promotional ambassadors, both domestically and internationally, and to be cited as an example by ALTAV in every discussion. It is very exciting to be able to represent Alanya properly in platforms where even our country is not represented."

It is very enjoyable to generate new ideas, conduct brainstorming sessions, and achieve positive results with the talented individuals of Alanya. It is very gratifying that, even when we were unable to find financial support for some of our projects in the beginning, we did not deviate from our goals. It is very comforting to be able to contribute to our country and our sector without any financial concerns, and by sacrificing the time we would otherwise spend with our families. However, it is very sad to be hurt by the unwarranted criticisms of superficial minds who do not want to understand or know exactly what we are doing. And it is very gratifying to know that the effort we put in and the many invaluable benefits we provide to Alanya are real and lasting. As someone who was not born in Alanya but feels a deep connection to the city, I wanted to share a little about the love I feel for it and the emotions I experience while serving it. I would like to express my gratitude to Adem Murat Yücel, the former Mayor of Alanya, who trusted us and entrusted us with this valuable institution of Alanya, and to all of you, our esteemed members. I thank all my colleagues on the board of directors for their support. The Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) has always been our biggest supporter, standing by us in every successful endeavor undertaken on behalf of Alanya. Therefore, I would like to thank Burhan Sili, the President of ALTİD, who has always been with us, both personally and through the institutions he represents, for his financial and moral support. The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation has always been a successful and respected institution, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be so. The momentum we started in 2014 will become a storm with our new President, Osman. "Everything will be very good for Alanya," he said.
CHAIRMAN ÖZÇELİK: "We will not talk about 'previous ones' or 'current ones'."
After Mehmet Dahaoğlu delivered the opening speech, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik took the stage and said, "First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to those who established our foundation in the 1990s, who dedicated their efforts to bring it to where it is today, who nurtured it like a flower, who worked for this cause, and who were involved in this endeavor. I believe that their goals are the same as mine, my team's, and yours, and that we will continue in the same way. Today, there may be a change, but we will not speak of 'previous colleagues' versus 'current colleagues.' You already know me in a way. You also know me from our past business relationships. Personally, I believe you all know that I have always held these views and beliefs."
CHAIRMAN ÖZÇELİK: “WE WILL TURN OUR STRENGTH INTO A POWERFUL FORCE.”
President Özçelik, stating that the collaboration within ALTAV will continue to grow, said: "I believe that we will strive to transform our current speed and strength into a force like a storm. There should be no doubt about this. I know, and you know, that this is the path we will follow, and that collaboration will continue to increase; we are all here for Alanya, and I am too. We are all working for Alanya, and we will continue to do so. Even when I, myself, delegate one of my responsibilities to a colleague or friend, I hope that these colleagues will transform that force into a hurricane. We will prepare the foundation for this. I believe in that. I wish it will be auspicious for our Alanya. May God not let any of us down."
The new management and committees were approved unanimously.
Following the speeches, Hüseyin Hacıkadiroğlu was elected Chairman of the Assembly, Ali Orkan and Nurhan Özcan were elected Assembly Members, and Şevki Taç was elected Assembly Secretary. The management board's 2023 activity report, the audit committee report, the foundation's income and expenses, and the balance sheets were read and unanimously approved. New members of the management and audit committees were elected.
HERE ARE THE NEW MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AUDIT COMMITTEE, AND ADVISORY BOARD OF ALTAV.
The following individuals were elected as full members of the board of directors: Osman Tarık Özçelik, Abdurrahman Açıkalın, Kerim Kılınç on behalf of the Alanya Association of Tourism Operators, Cem Özcan on behalf of the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kemal Karataş on behalf of the Alanya Regional Executive Board of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association, Şükrü Cimrin, Alper Gencelli, Yakup Uslu, and Gökçe Aydoğan Ergün. The alternate members are: Tevfik Sipahioğlu, Can Som, Gökçen Kayakıran, Didem Dim Özaltın, and Mehmet Tanrıtanır.
The following individuals were elected to the main membership of the audit board: Hüseyin Darı, Hüseyin Değirmenci, Özkan Ünal, İzzet Köseoğlu, and Şükrü Bingöl. The following individuals were elected to the reserve membership of the audit board: Zeyni Özcan, Hüseyin Gümrükçüler, and Erhan Yönet.
The following individuals and institutions were selected for membership in the advisory board: Gülçin Güner, Müge Alanay Gücüoğlu, Cengiz Topçu, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ), and Alanya University.
CHAIRMAN ÖZÇELİK: "WE ARE HERE FOR OUR ALANYA"
Following the determination of the new management, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik took to the podium and said, "With the support of our previous colleagues, and with the hope that they will fill any gaps we may have, we want to accelerate this work like a storm. Ultimately, we are here for Alanya. My wish is for the best possible outcome."
The general assembly concluded after a group photo was taken of the newly elected board members.
