Members and participants of the Alanya Medical Tourism Association gathered at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. At the meeting, the current status and processes of health tourism in the world and in Türkiye, the determination of the venue and stakeholders for a seminar to be organized on a national scale in the near future, the increasing frequency of similar seminars to create awareness, and the bringing of an international-level health tourism congress to Alanya in the future were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Kemal Kantarcı and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Aktaş representing Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Cem Başarır and Student Affairs Manager Ege Özkan from Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University, Deputy Mayor Ali Yenialp and Dr. Sultan Özgen from Alanya Municipality, Kerim Yılmaz and Şükrü Cimrin from Alanya Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), Ali Kaptan and Hüseyin Balıkçıoğlu from Alanya Association of Tourist Operators (ALTİD), Eda Şahin from Private Anadolu Hospital, and Dr. Ayhan Dönmez from Private Yaşam Hospital, while Vice President Ahmet Girgin, Association Secretary Selahattin Ay, board members Specialist Dr. Okan Badıllıoğlu, Specialist Dr. Erkan Karadağ, Dr. Mustafa Yağlıca, and Dentist Dr. Tuncay Sarmaz took part in the meeting on behalf of the Alanya Health Tourism Association.
