Adventure seekers will be coming to Alanya.

At the Adventure Tourism and Sports Fair held in İstanbul, the "Alanya Nature Sports Map" prepared by the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) attracted great interest.

The Adventure Tourism and Sports Fair, held at the İSTANBUL Fuar Merkezi, has concluded. Alanya was represented at the fair by the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV). In addition to its beaches, sand, and sun, Alanya's natural beauty and nature sports, which are increasingly gaining recognition, were highlighted. This year's fair, held for the first time, featured booths showcasing off-road vehicles, orienteering, trekking, camping, mountaineering, photography, bicycles, paragliding, underwater sports, rafting, skiing, and surfing equipment. The visitors to the fair included representatives from travel agencies, guides, travelers, and athletes interested in these sports.

'Alanya Nature Sports Map Attracts Interest.'

Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of ALTAV and ALTİD, stated that visitors to the Alanya stand were most interested in learning about nature sports activities that can be done in Alanya during the spring and winter seasons. "The Alanya Nature Sports Map, prepared by the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) with funding from the Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA), and consisting of trekking, cycling, and off-road routes, received great interest. The map, which includes 31 routes, indicates that the total distance can be covered in approximately one month, which particularly excited those interested in long nature walks, mountaineers, and campers."

Dahaoğlu stated that the couple, Gülçin Söğüt and her husband Ferry Schouten, who embarked on a world tour on their motorcycles in 2016, were among those who visited the Alanya stand. "The couple, who learned about the Taurus Mountains and regional routes covering the northern region of Alanya, included Alanya in their travel plans. They will be creating photo and blog content to showcase Alanya's natural beauty. The blogger couple, who travel to many countries around the world, especially countries in the African continent, and share their experiences with their followers, will announce to their followers around the world that Alanya is a paradise for nature sports, in addition to its sea, sun, and sand tourism."

'TWO FAIRS IN ONE'

Dahaoğlu emphasized that adventure tourism and sports have always been intertwined with recreation and entertainment. "The 'Adventure Tourism and Sports Fair' held in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, is being held concurrently with the 'ATRAX International Entertainment-Event, Park-Recreation Industry and Services Fair.' Entertainment and nature sports are two inseparable concepts. The fact that the exhibition halls are connected by shared walkways is a very well-considered detail.
