At the fair, represented by ALTAV Board Member Şükrü Cimrin, the organization participated with various promotional materials, including Norwegian-language guides, products featuring the Alanya logo, and Alanya Sand. Within the scope of the fair, meetings were held with a VG journalist and TV2, while the Norwegian Ambassador also visited the Alanya stand and received gifts. Şükrü Cimrin stated that discussions were held with tour operators regarding the increase of winter tourism and flight opportunities to Gazipaşa Airport via Air Baltic.

ALTAV was represented at the fair by Board Member Şükrü Cimrin. This year, the number of participants increased by 15% compared to last year, reaching 33,328 people.
ALTAV participated in the fair with strong material support. The Alanya city guides prepared in Norwegian, 2010 calendars, tote bags with the Alanya logo, pens, large and small evil eye beads, hotel guides, coloring books prepared for children, Alanya illustrated puzzles, and Alanya promotional DVDs received great interest.
Alanya Sand, which we brought from Alanya Kleopatra Beach, represented Türkiye for 4 days during a competition event attended by visitors to the stand of restplas.no, one of Norway’s largest holiday portals, alongside sands brought from Southern Cyprus and Gran Canaria.
During a press presentation organized by the Promotion Consultancy on the first day of the fair, information regarding Alanya was also provided. As the first result of this meeting, a journalist representing VG, one of Norway's major newspapers, visited our stand and conducted an interview with ALTAV Fair Officer Şükrü Cimrin. Additionally, TV2 visited the Turkey stand and held meetings with the stand representatives.
Our Norwegian Ambassador also visited the Alanya stand, and gifts related to Alanya were presented to him.
In a statement made by fair official Şükrü Cimrin, he said, ‘As a result of the meeting we held with Ms. Filiz Köse, our Promotion Attaché responsible for Sweden and Norway, it has been decided to host various press groups and to act jointly in cultural events, as in previous years. Since Alanya serves as a locomotive for Turkey in the market, we believe that our relations with the Promotion Counselor's Office will be very beneficial for Alanya.’
Additionally, in the meeting we held with Gisle Dueland, the Marketing Consultant for the Sweden and Norway Promotion Counsellorates, we exchanged views on Alanya’s position in the market and how it will be involved in promotional activities. Gisle Dueland stated, “Being hosted in Alanya by ALTAV in the summer of 2009 was very beneficial, as it allowed us to get to know the Alanya destination much better,” and emphasized that there will be important collaborations.
In addition, one of the issues our Foundation emphasizes is winter tourism. In our meetings with various tour operators, discussions were held regarding increasing the 3rd age groups, referred to as “long stayers,” who arrive at the end of the summer season and remain in the region until February or March, and we conveyed what we, as a city, can offer to these customer groups.
We have conveyed the latest situation to all tour operators consulted regarding Gazipaşa Airport. In particular, by meeting with Air Baltic, we provided information regarding Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport and explained the current situation. Air Baltic informed us that they would be following up on the matter, adding that in addition to the Riga-Antalya scheduled direct flights they have planned for the coming months, they could also include Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport in their agenda in the upcoming period.
