The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) promoted Alanya in Bratislava, the largest and capital city of Slovakia. ALTAV representative and tourism professional Sabriye Yüksel, who monitored the pulse of the fair, shared her meetings and impressions at ITF Slovakia Tour, one of the important tourism fairs:
“OPERATIONS WILL BE CONCENTRATED ON LUXURY HOTELS”
When I met with Orex Travel Marketing Manager Ladislav Juscak and the company's Slovakia representative Cevren Savaseri, I received information that Alanya is particularly preferred by the youth due to Cleopatra Beach, nightclubs, bars, and historical sites. They stated that they will focus on luxury hotels as an operation this year. I provided them with detailed information regarding the statistical data and advantages of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. They conduct their flights with Corendon. There is no decrease in their sales for Alanya.
“SALES ARE BETTER THAN IN 2014”
Solvex Tour Director Irena Yalamova, stating that Alanya has developed and become more beautiful rapidly in recent years and that she is very pleased with this, also noted that their sales this year are better compared to 2014 and that they achieved the best performance in Alanya among their sales regions. Stating that their flights will begin in May, Yalamova expressed that they will operate with Travel Service and Corendon. Since their guest density is in Alanya, they are looking favorably upon Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. I provided them with specialized information regarding this airport.
“2016 DIRECT FLIGHT SIGNAL”
E.T.I. has operations in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Slovenia. They have been operating in Slovakia for the last 5 years. Flights are made to Türkiye from Vienna, Austria. Company officials working with German tour guides plan to provide flights from Slovakia for their guests in 2016.
“NUMBERS INCREASED ONCE THE VISA APPLICATION WAS LIFTED”
Vienna Tourism Attaché Songül Camgöz, stating that 127 thousand people came to Türkiye last year, said that this number reached 137 thousand people as of the end of November this year. She conveyed that this increase occurred due to Türkiye lifting its visa application for this country. Generally, she stated that Antalya and Alanya, which attract interest due to the sea–sand–sun trilogy, are at the forefront in the promotion of Türkiye. She mentioned that Türkiye is a place where many civilizations converge and spoke of the benefits of presenting it in this way. Camgöz noted that the region could also be revitalized in winter with the Taurus Mountains and cultural sites.
“ALWAYS SUPPORTING ALANYA”
Türkiye's Ambassador to Bratislava Gülhan Ulutekin stated that she is pleased with the Alanya promotions carried out by ALTAV in various countries around the world and in Slovakia.
Cüneyt Yavuzcan, the 1st Counselor of the Embassy of Türkiye in Bratislava, also stated that they will always provide support for Alanya, for which they expect a numerical increase. Additionally, the visit to the Alanya stand by the dancers of Latiniko, a very well-known dance school in the region, provided colorful scenes.
