The tourism agenda was discussed.

ALTİD Chairman Burhan Sili held 5 evaluation meetings with member hotels in the region stretching from Okurcalar to Kargıcak over a period of 3 days. Sili stated that a new arrangement will be implemented on the beaches to improve the quality of tourism in Alanya, and that better opportunities should be provided to employees to prevent trained personnel from moving to different sectors. He also announced that a call for support will be made for the archaeological excavations at the Syedra Ancient City, and that discussions will be held with representatives regarding contract violations caused by travel agencies.

Burhan Sili, Chairman of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association, stated, "Educated individuals are shifting to different sectors. We must offer better opportunities to our employees."

Burhan Sili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı (TGA) and the Türkiye Otelciler Federasyonu (TÜROFED), and the President of the Alanya Turistik İşletmeciler Derneği (ALTİD), met with ALTİD members in the hotel region stretching from Okurcalar to Kargıcak, holding 5 meetings over 3 days. Following the series of meetings, President Sili made the following statement:

"MEETINGS WILL CONTINUE."

Following the difficult period caused by the pandemic in 2020, we held evaluation meetings in 2021 regarding data on incoming guests to Antalya-Alanya, coastal buffet arrangements, the pandemic process and its results, the normalization process, and the new normal. Next week, we will complete our evaluation meetings by meeting with our members in the Keykubat and Kleopatra regions located in the city center.

"GUEST DEMANDS HAVE CHANGED."

Starting in 2020, we discussed the events that occurred in the sector, along with the changing trends in tourism, including the number of guests received since 2015, our regional position, and where we can go from here. We examined possibilities for developing the sector and diversifying products in the Alanya region in the coming period, focusing on changing guest demands and marketing methods. We listened to our members regarding their requests and suggestions related to the accommodation sector.

"Coastal Buffets Undergoing Changes"
We provided information about the activities carried out by TGA and the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) in both domestic and international markets. We discussed potential developments, guest numbers, and what needs to be done in the coming period, starting from 2022. Currently, Alanya tourism primarily revolves around sea, sand, and sun. Based on this reality, we see the necessity of establishing a new order on our beaches. Therefore, we shared with our members the plans for the arrangement and criteria of beach kiosks to be implemented from east to west. We will raise the quality level of Alanya tourism one step further. In this regard, we would like to thank Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel for his contributions.

'PERSONNEL OPPORTUNITIES SHOULD BE IMPROVED.'

In terms of improving the quality of our facilities, we expressed our views on what needs to be done regarding personnel training, social opportunities, and living standards in the labor-intensive tourism sector. Because, on the scale of Alanya, it is increasingly difficult for qualified personnel to remain in the industry for the entire year. Trained individuals are moving to different sectors. In this context, we must offer our personnel better opportunities.
"Contract Violations to be Discussed."

A very important topic was also the ancient city of Syedra. This city is a very important point for Alanya and the country's tourism. We have received requests from our members to support the archaeological excavation work. We will make a general call to our members to support this issue. Despite the written agreements between travel agencies and hotel operators, we have again received feedback from our members regarding non-compliance with these agreements. Regarding contract violations caused by travel agencies, we will meet with representatives of the travel agencies to discuss the problems encountered.
