The ALTİD Board of Directors met with members of the press at the Alanya Journalists Association bistro. A seasonal evaluation was conducted at the dinner held on November 25. In the meeting, which began with AGC President Mehmet Ali Dim thanking the ALTİD management, ALTİD President Gülçin GÜNER first provided an assessment of the 2011 season. Mentioning the 2011 Turkish-Russian working group meetings held in Russia/Gelencik recently, Güner provided information regarding contacts with Russian officials, stating that Alanya is in a leading position and that signage information systems are important for Russian guests. Noting that Gazipaşa Airport has been included in the Öger Tur catalog, Güner stated that following the busy summer season, the fact that approximately 40 facilities remain open at 30-40 percent capacity during the winter period for 12-month tourism is one of Alanya's main problems, and mentioned that studies and contacts are being carried out to make Gazipaşa Airport more active in this regard.
