President Güner emphasized that the civil aviation permits for Gazipaşa Airport should be obtained more quickly, that there is no law for the Accommodation sector, which closes the current account deficit and contributes to employment, and that a professional law must be enacted urgently; that obtaining certificates from the Ministry of Tourism is pointless due to problems arising from other legislation; that the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Health are among the ministries within certified facilities; that the occupation fee law must be changed urgently, noting that while this issue is resolved with the Municipality in Alanya center, heavy occupation fees are being charged to hotels in other regions; and that the allocation process for alternative investments for 12-month tourism in Alanya, such as golf courses, needs to be accelerated. He also stressed the very high energy costs of hotels, the necessity of bringing natural gas to our region, and the urgent demand for a rail system between Antalya and Alanya as an alternative to the insufficient D 400 road. Regarding bed supply, Member of Parliament Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who was listening and taking notes to Gülçin Güner, stated that it is not correct to impose restrictions while there are free market targets and goals such as 50 million visitors, but studies should be carried out to minimize the problems; he provided information that there are currently highway road works, some ring road works in Alanya, and that the highway will connect Afyon-Burdur-Antalya-Alanya to the road to Gazipaşa after Alanya and to the Mersin road, noting that the route, which currently consists of viaducts and tunnels, has been determined and its project will be put out to tender. Stating that studies to bring natural gas to Alanya are also underway, Çavuşoğlu conveyed that an investment of 300 million TL will be made regarding electricity outages and that while major obstacles regarding Gazipaşa Airport have been overcome, the permits must certainly be obtained.
