The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), which will host its visitors at the TÜYAP Fair Center between January 22-25, opened its doors with the participation of 71 countries and more than 4,500 institutions, organizations, and municipalities.
At the 19th EMITT, held this year, Alanya was once again promoted with high-level participation through the Alanya stand organized by the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD). Important names visited the Alanya stand of ALTİD, which has been promoting Alanya at the fair for 19 consecutive years. There was intense interest in the raffle, in which 10 people will win a one-week Alanya holiday.
The Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, Abdurrahman Arıcı, who visited the Alanya stand before the opening ceremony of the fair and met with Burhan Sili, Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) and President of ALTİD, stated that ALTİD, which promotes Alanya on a global scale, is undertaking important works, and expressed his satisfaction that Alanya has been promoted at a high level at EMITT for 19 years.

Stating that he participates in fairs in many cities around the world but that EMITT is much more comprehensive in terms of both participation and surface area, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel said, “Our tourism professionals have been representing Alanya at EMITT for 19 years. Alanya has become one in heart and is working hard for the promotion of our region. I thank those who contributed.”
“WE ARE CONDUCTING PROMOTIONS FOR WINTER TOURISM”
Stating that as ALTİD they have been representing Alanya every year without fail since the first year EMITT was established, ALTİD President Sili said, "With our specially prepared stand, this year as well, we hosted, led by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Arıcı, Prime Minister Advisor Hayri Çavuşoğlu, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) President Mehmet Şahin, Türkiye Journalists Federation (TGF) Vice President Mehmet Ali Dim, TÜRSAB Alanya Regional Board President Suat Çavuşoğlu, important tour operator officials, and agency representatives. Throughout the fair, which will continue until Sunday, we are conducting promotional activities and providing information regarding Alanya's winter tourism activity, particularly concerning the Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport."
“REACHED 71 COUNTRIES”
TÜROFED Board Member and former ALTİD President Gülçin Güner, stating that they have been participating in EMITT for 19 years with ALTİD and ALTAV representatives, said, “EMITT, which began 19 years ago with 7-8 countries, has reached 71 countries this year. It is a very large organization that attracts interest among world tourism dynamics. For the promotion of Alanya, whether here or anywhere else in the world, we must act together in unity and solidarity, joining forces without any personal differences.”
“THERE IS GOOD NEWS”
Stating that Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport holds great importance for Alanya tourism, Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) President Faik Melih Kaptanoğlu expressed, “In the meetings I held on the first day of the fair, I received good news from tour operators regarding the use of this airport or increasing the number of flights.”

Bahattin Yücel, the former Minister of Culture and Tourism and another individual who visited the ALTİD Alanya stand, stated, “When the Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is properly utilized and mass marketing methods are used effectively, Alanya will always take its place among the top ranks of the world's most important tourism destinations.”
“ALTİD STAND SHOWED THE DIFFERENCE”
Stating that Türkiye is not just a country that attracts tourists from abroad, Suat Çavuşoğlu, President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK), said that Türkiye is also a destination that sends a significant number of tourists to many countries in the world. Expressing that he very much liked ALTİD’s custom-made stand, Çavuşoğlu said, “With this stand, which was prepared more professionally than many stands at EMITT, Alanya demonstrated its difference.”
THE RAFFLE IS RECEIVING GREAT INTEREST
On the other hand, at the ALTİD Alanya stand, 10 families will win an Alanya holiday through a raffle to be held. Within the scope of the promotional work, the raffle application is attracting great interest from the very first day. The chance to participate in the raffle will continue until the last day of the fair.
