At the ceremony held at the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended by Alanya District Governor Hulusi Doğan, the protocol text was signed by Akdeniz University Alanya Faculty of Business Administration Dean Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güngör, Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu, Mahmurlar Mayor Ali Çelik, Oba Deputy Mayor Mükerrem Babaoğlu, Kestel Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, Tosmur Mayor Musa Özdemir, ALTSO President Kerim Aydoğan, and ALTİD Vice President Hayriye Sadullahoğlu Argun.
Before the protocol ceremony, the Dean of A.Ü. Alanya Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güngör, stated that their goals are both to ensure that students receiving higher education in our district stay in a hygienic and safe environment with physical conditions that will not fall short of a student dormitory, and to revitalize the city economy by making an economic contribution to the many apart hotels in our district that close during the winter months. Pointing out that it is quite natural for families to be sensitive regarding the dormitories where they will entrust their children, Güngör said, “We have determined that the perception that the physical conditions and service approach of the apart hotels in Alanya are only suitable for tourism creates anxiety among families. For this purpose, we deemed it appropriate for the hotels within the scope of this project to renew themselves in the full sense of a dormitory concept. I would like to thank all the organizations that support this project.”
Subsequently, ALTSO Secretary General Servet Ünlü delivered a presentation explaining the project in a comprehensive manner. Ünlü provided information regarding the project's purpose, scope, and the determination and inspection of the hotels to be included in the system. He stated that the suitability of the apart hotels located in Alanya would be determined by a selected board and that applications would be made to an office to be established at ALTSO. He expressed that after applications are received for the purpose of joining the project, a board would be formed to inspect the selected hotels, and this board would inspect the facilities at certain intervals. Explaining that the project's seal of approval would be granted to the designated apart hotels, Ünlü summarized the operations of the certification board, the inspection commission, and the Certification Board Office.
