At the ALTİD meeting, issues such as increasing staff quality in tourist facilities, unregistered tourist apartment rentals, environmental pollution, and the fight against illegal alcohol were discussed. ALTİD President Burhan Sili stated that they provide support for Alanya's promotion and that information boards will be used in facilities to encourage guests to prefer TÜRSAB-certified agencies. Sili also expressed that, along with the statute change, they aim to expand their sphere of influence and provide sectoral leadership by incorporating Municipality-licensed facilities into their membership through certain criteria.

UNREGISTERED HOLIDAY MODEL DISCUSSED
At the meeting, issues such as ways to increase the quality of personnel working in touristic facilities, touristic apartment rentals—referred to as ‘secondary residences’ which expand the informal economy and, unlike touristic facilities, do not allow for security screenings—the cleaning of treatment plants and water tanks, environmental pollution, the continuation of effective combat against counterfeit and illicit alcohol, and the possibility of expanding the lifeguard, security, and cleaning services, which are affiliated with ALTİD and operating on Alanya Central beaches, to other regions were discussed.
“WE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO PROMOTION”
Speaking on the agenda items during the meeting, ALTİD President and Türkiye Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member Burhan Sili stated that as an association, they are one of the institutions providing the largest financial support to the Alanya Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), and expressed that they contribute, either directly or indirectly, to the festivals, fairs, and sporting events held in the city within the framework of Alanya promotions, and will continue to do so.
“FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL AGENCIES WILL BE CONDUCTED”
Stating that on-site promotion and guest satisfaction are parallel values, Sili said that warning signs in different languages will be hung on the information boards of facilities to encourage guests who will purchase tours to prefer TÜRSAB-certified agencies.
“WE AIM FOR A HOLISTIC APPROACH”
Continuing his speech, President Sili said: The association presidents of our regional hoteliers will join the ALTİD board of directors with the statute amendment we will implement in the upcoming period. We have received support from regional association managements regarding this statute amendment we will make. Furthermore, with another fundamental change we will implement, we will expand our sphere of influence and take the lead as a sectoral non-governmental organization by incorporating municipality-licensed facilities—which fall outside of Ministry-licensed facilities and cause a duality in the sector—into our structure within certain criteria. We have also received support from hotel managers who are unable to become members of our association due to the current statute regarding this change. With these changes, we aim to be unifying and to raise the quality of municipality-licensed facilities.
