The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation conducted a promotional campaign targeting the "third generation" tourist profile, which includes retirees and those in the post-retirement age group, at a fair held in the Netherlands.

The 26th edition of the 50 Plus Beurs (Consumer Fair for People Over 50) was held in Utrecht, Netherlands, where Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) conducted promotional activities. The fair, which featured the participation of 550 companies, showcased the world's leading brands and holiday destinations designed to simplify the lives of people over 50 and pique their interest, with various events. Within this scope, electric vehicles from Toyota, Hyundai, and Citroen, home bathroom and toilet systems from Geberit, and wheeled vehicles from some of the world's largest bicycle brands were also presented.

'WE HAVE BEEN ATTENDING THE FAIR FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS.'

Gürol Birgen, a member of the ALTAV Board of Directors, stated that investment and timeshare properties, villas, holiday resorts, tourist facilities, and healthcare companies participated extensively in the fair. "The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey for Culture and Tourism in the Netherlands has been participating in the fair since 2011 with a specially designed stand of 30 square meters. As ALTAV, we have represented our region under the Ministry's umbrella, as we have done for the past three years. Representatives from Gold Hotels, including Goldcity, Goldisland, and Vachomes, also participated in the fair on behalf of Alanya.

ALANYA: A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.

The number of visitors, which was 82,000 in 2017, has increased to 98,600 this year, as announced by official authorities. Alanya was the only city representing our country at this fair, which increased participation and is developing, and it played a role in promoting the region. This once again highlights the good work that ALTAV has been doing for international promotions, both with the Ministry and on behalf of our country, and our stand received great interest from Dutch citizens. We answered questions from our guests about Turkey and Alanya, focusing on Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP), which is vital for transportation. We received positive signals from the Netherlands regarding demand for the 2019 season.”
