Alanya was presented at the 35th International Holiday & SPA Expo, held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, from February 14th to 16th, by Kerim Yılmaz, a member of the ALTAV Board of Directors. During the fair, meetings were held with Hasan Ulusoy, the Ambassador of Turkey to Sofia, and Dobrinka Batsanova, Deputy Mayor of Petriç, during which Batsanova proposed a sister city relationship with Alanya. Additionally, in a meeting with Assen Hitov, General Manager of Emerald Travel, it was learned that additional flights would be added to Antalya, and the advantages of Alanya Gazipaşa (GZP) Airport were highlighted.

Alanya was promoted in Sofia, the capital of the neighboring country of Bulgaria. Kerim Yılmaz, a member of the Board of Directors of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), represented Alanya. The Alanya stand was located under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism at the 35th "International Holiday & SPA Expo," which took place between February 14-16 and was attended by many countries. The Turkish stand, established through the Sofia Cultural and Promotion Attaché's Office, occupied an area of 200 square meters. This organization, considered one of the leading and most important tourism fairs in the Bulgarian tourism industry, takes place annually for three days on an exhibition area of approximately 7,200 square meters. "ALTAV IS BEING HELD AS AN EXAMPLE WORLDWIDE," said ALTAV Board Member Yılmaz, stating that he held discussions with valuable figures such as Hasan Ulusoy, the Ambassador to Sofia, Cemal Tekkanat, the Cultural and Tourism Attaché, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Vergiev from the Sofia Technical University of Bulgaria, and Dobrinka Batsanova, Deputy Mayor of Petrich, to strengthen mutual relations. Yılmaz stated that Ambassador Ulusoy spoke highly of Alanya, adding, "Ambassador Ulusoy specifically cited the work of ALTAV as an example. Among them were the well-known Bulgarian pop artists Anelia and Danny Levan, for whom we filmed a music video in Alanya in previous years. The music video, in addition to being broadcast on TV channels, has been viewed over 1.2 million times on YouTube alone. We want to carry out similar projects again. We also discussed the issue of hosting important journalists in Alanya. We presented them with gifts consisting of local products from Alanya, which were sent by our Mayor, Adem Murat Yücel." "EMERALD TRAVEL WILL ADD MORE FLIGHTS TO ANTALYA," said Yılmaz, stating that a proposal for Alanya to become a sister city came from Dobrinka Batsanova, Deputy Mayor of Petrich, Bulgaria. "We had a positive discussion. We informed them about the sister city concept and invited them to participate in the Alanya Tourism Festival as a city. Why not Petrich, with its people who value Alanya, as our 24th sister city? In addition, in our meeting with Assen Hitov, the General Manager of Emerald Travel, we learned that they operate two flights per week to Antalya and will be adding more flights. We explained the details and advantages of the Alanya Gazipaşa (GZP) Airport to them. During our face-to-face stand activities, we gave various gifts to Bulgarians who shared photos from our social media accounts with slogans such as 'We are going to Alanya this summer'."
