Following the tragic fire incident in Kartalkaya, a meeting was held hosted by the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) regarding the inspections being carried out on hotels and the new Fire Safety Regulations.

The meeting was attended by Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Eray Erdem, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Director Ahmet Kısa, Antalya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Facilities and Enterprises Branch Manager Hakan Seven, Alanya Deputy Mayor Servet Ünlü, Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) Chairman Burhan Sili, district chairmen of political parties, chairmen of associations operating in the tourism sector, and a large number of business people from the tourism industry.

At a meeting where industry representatives and officials gathered, the effects of the intensive inspections carried out on hotels following the tragic fire in Kartalkaya were evaluated. Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of ALTİD, Burhan Sili, emphasized that sufficient time should be given to hotels, especially regarding fire-resistant doors. Sili, stating that the difficulties in supply were putting them in a difficult situation, said, "I was in Ankara last week. I met with the relevant parties. Our efforts to resolve this issue will continue."

Sili continued his speech, emphasizing the need for everyone to work together to find a solution to the issue. "We must move forward with this process with the contributions of all relevant authorities and representatives of political parties in the district. Under the current circumstances, some facilities in all regions need to be closed. I don't know how this will affect Turkish tourism. Therefore, we explained all of this. We will go to Ankara again. Everyone needs to make efforts to find solutions in their respective areas. Because this issue is very important for our region and our country. Everyone has their own perspective, but we, as tourism professionals, are also right, and we are concerned about how this process will unfold, despite all our good intentions. We need to engage in self-criticism and create solutions urgently. But we must be aware that nothing will be the same as before from this day forward, and we need to do the right thing. For this, we need time. Furthermore, even if all precautions are taken, it is very important that all hotel staff are trained on this issue. Everyone needs to contribute; otherwise, a significant number of businesses will face closure. I think we all need to think calmly, plan, and have time for implementation," he said.
