Studies have been initiated for barrier-free hotels with the aim of enabling people with disabilities to vacation and instilling a concept of sustainable 12-month tourism. It is planned to apply for European Union funds to establish a multi-purpose International Center for Disabled Education, Rehabilitation, Integration, and Rest in Alanya, where people with disabilities from both domestic and international sources can stay with their companions. A meeting will be organized on 11.12.2010 at the Alanya Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alanya Municipality, and ALTİD, where Prof. Krzysztof Chwalibóg will deliver a presentation on the subject of barrier-free cities and hotels.

2-Barrier-Free Tourism for Everyone
In order to ensure that people with disabilities can meet and socialize with different cultures by going on vacation just like non-disabled people, as well as to ensure that a sustainable 12-month tourism approach is brought to our country, studies have been launched for barrier-free hotels.
3-International Barrier-Free Life Center
The 3rd project, for which the completion of official procedures is expected and implementation is envisioned as a starting point, is to prepare a joint project with working partner countries in Europe to establish a multi-purpose International Disabled Education, Rehabilitation, Integration, and Rest Center in Alanya, where people with disabilities from both domestic and international sources can stay for certain periods along with their companions, and to apply for European Union funds and other resources.
As a continuation of these studies, a meeting was held on Saturday, 11.12.2010, at 14:00 in the Alanya Cultural Center (2nd floor) meeting hall in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alanya Municipality, and ALTİD. At the meeting, which will be attended by local administrators in our district, ALTİD members, and representatives from other non-governmental organizations, Prof. Krzysztof Chwalibóg, President of the International Union of Architects from Poland, will give a presentation on the subject of barrier-free cities and hotels. We expect the participation of our tourism professionals at the meeting.
