The first Blue Flag award for 2020 was presented to Alanya Municipality Keykubat East Public Beach, following on-site inspections. The flag for Alanya Municipality Keykubat East Public Beach was presented by Lokman Atasoy, Coordinator of the Turkish Foundation for Environmental Education (TÜRÇEV) in Antalya, to Mayor Adem Murat Yücel and Burhan Sili, Chairman of the Alanya Association of Tourism Operators (ALTİD).
The 2020 awards for the Blue Flag Program, which is led internationally by FEE and coordinated in our country by TÜRÇEV, have been announced. This year, 486 beaches, 22 marinas, and 7 yachts in Turkey will be awarded the Blue Flag. Turkey continues to increase the number of Blue Flag beaches this year and ranks third in the world among the 49 countries participating in the Blue Flag Program. In Turkey, Antalya ranks first with 206 beaches and 5 marinas. Alanya is entering the summer season with 73 Blue Flag beaches and 1 marina facility.
