Burhan Sili, Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) and President of ALTİD, announced in his briefing regarding the meeting agenda that the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has launched a study together with units and non-governmental organizations on the subject of 'electrical energy quality.' President Sili stated that the Alanya component of the studies initiated within TÜROFED will be sustained by ALTİD in this context, saying, “We are in the process of preparing a report regarding how to increase the quality of electrical energy in Alanya and how to eliminate problems based on power outages.” Stating that they also have plans to create a tourism strategy for the future of Alanya tourism, President Sili expressed that they will launch a study on this matter by receiving academic support.
‘WE HAVE SERIOUS COMPETITORS’
Stating that they are making serious efforts and providing support for the Akdeniz Üniversitesi Alanya Konaklı Kongre Merkezi, Sili said, “As of the end of this month, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Meeting Group Seminar will be held at the Konaklı Kongre Merkezi for 2 days. Following this, we are continuing our support for the management and stakeholders of the Kongre Merkezi, who are carrying out their work to organize an event that will last 20 days with 500 guests during the month of November. The congress center has great importance in terms of diversifying tourism and ensuring that tourist facilities remain open during the winter period.” Noting that the Alanya Konaklı Kongre Merkezi also faces transportation issues compared to rival centers offering the same service, Sili spoke as follows: “There are applications to the Alanya Belediyesi and the Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi regarding the resolution of this issue. If the transportation network of the Konaklı Kongre Merkezi becomes clear, its development will be much faster and healthier.”
