Alanya State Hospital and the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) have launched the ‘Give a book too’ campaign to contribute to the library of the Türkler Community Mental Health Center, where patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders receive treatment. At the same time, support for the campaign, which serves as an awareness effort to increase the visibility of the newly opened center, has come from Alanya tourism professionals.
Suat Çavuşoğlu, President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK), stated that tourism associations are also non-governmental organizations, saying, “In this framework, I consider the campaign launched by ALTİD and the Alanya State Hospital Chief Physician's Office to be very important and I am providing support. It is an important study that increases city awareness. I also contributed with books that I brought from my home. I invite all agency managers and employees operating in Alanya to this campaign.”
Tamer Koç, General Manager of Tivrona Tur, stated, “I also contributed to this campaign, which is simultaneously an awareness effort, by donating a book. I support the ‘You Give a Book Too’ campaign.”
The donation points for the ‘Give a Book Too’ campaign, which will continue for one week, are as follows: Türkler Community Mental Health Center Information Desk, Alanya State Hospital Social Services Specialist Mehmet Aldemir, and ALTİD.
