The Alanya stand received great interest at the Matka Tourism Fair, which will continue in Finland's capital, Helsinki, until January 24. While the visitors' interest in the stand and their curiosity about Alanya created satisfaction, visitors encountered a great surprise at the Alanya stand on the second day of the fair. Visitors experienced a huge surprise when they saw one of Finland's famous artists, Saara Aalto, at the Alanya stand. Visitors, who took photos with the artist, also listened to the Alanya promotion made by Saara Aalto.
FINNISH CITIZENS EXCITED ABOUT PUMPKINS
On the other hand, the Alanya stand at the Finland Tourism Fair also attracted attention with a gourd master. The gourd, one of the city's symbols, and the master who crafts it took their place at the stand from the very first day. The Finns, who watched the gourd decoration live, experienced great excitement. Şükrü Cimrin, a Board Member of ALTAV participating in the fair on behalf of Alanya, continued promotional activities on one hand while also conducting meetings with tour operators and visitors on the other. Burhan Sili, President of the Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals (ALTİD) and Board Member of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED), also participated in the contacts, listening to requests and suggestions on behalf of Alanya and following developments in the market.
“MISS FINLAND WILL BE HELD IN ALANYA AGAIN”
Another piece of positive news from the Finland Tourism Fair was that the Miss Finland beauty pageant, which is held in Alanya every year, will also be held in Alanya this season. Cimrin, stating that negotiations with the producer of the competition have been completed, said, “Miss Finland, which is an important promotional tool for Alanya, will be held in our district in 2016 as well.”
