The Lithuanian Mothers' Union Foundation, a prominent organization in LITHUANIA, is providing holiday opportunities and tour excursions in Alanya to children and their families who require rehabilitation, as part of its "Children's Recovery Holiday in Turkey" project. This initiative, under the slogan "More Sun and Hope," is supported by Türk Hava Yolları (THY), Alanya Municipality, Alanya Association of Tourism Operators (ALTİD), and Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO). Children aged 5-9 are hosted in this social project, accompanied by either their mother or father. The Lithuanian news portal DELFI is also supporting the project.
Within the scope of the project, the delegation visiting Alanya visited ALTİD and thanked President Burhan Sili on behalf of the board of directors. ALTİD President Burhan Sili, who is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED), and who introduced the children in the association's garden to banana plants, olive trees, avocado trees, lemon trees, and orange trees, said, "We are very happy to be involved in such a wonderful social responsibility project. The happiness of the Lithuanian children in Alanya was valuable for us. The 13-member delegation will get to know Alanya and our country closely for 11 days and will return to their country with beautiful memories. Lithuania holds an important place among Alanya's tourism potential, and we are always ready to support the strengthening of relations between the two countries."
Nurkan Şaşmaz, the Alanya Municipality's Foreign Relations Officer, who was part of the delegation, stated, "We are implementing many projects to strengthen our relationships with our sister cities and within the scope of social responsibility. Children experiencing new things in Alanya even have the opportunity to see the trees of fruits that they only see in supermarkets. They are visiting the historical and natural areas of our region. We would like to thank all the institutions that provide support."
