The MITT 2022 Tourism Fair, held from March 15-17 at the Crocus Expo in Moscow, took place with a significantly low number of visitors, overshadowed by the Russia-Ukraine war. Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of ALTİD, stated that tourism professionals were unable to participate in the fair due to Turkish Airlines being the sole operating airline and the high cost of tickets, and that the Turkish pavilion was only represented by Alanya. Following the British company Hyve Group's withdrawal from the Russian market, which previously held 100% ownership of the fair, the issue of changing the organizers and re-registering the trademark of MITT Moscow has been raised in order to save the fair.

The number of visitors attending the fair was significantly lower, overshadowed by the Russia-Ukraine war. Türkiye had a 300 square meter stand at the fair. Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) and the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD), stated, "Despite the presence of 5 participants from different regions at the Türkiye stand, tour operators were unable to participate in the fair due to the fact that flights to the country are only available with Turkish Airlines (THY) and the excessively high ticket prices. Only Alanya was represented at the Türkiye stand, with staff and promotional materials. Visitors to our stand asked questions about when tour operators will begin their operations in Türkiye, whether Turkish people will welcome guests with the same hospitality as Russians, and whether the financial gains from tours will be sufficient."
