The EMITT Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, organized with the support of our Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in partnership with TUROFED-Turkish Hotel Association and TYD-Tourism Investors Association, under the sponsorship of THY-A.O. and by EKIN-ITE Group at the Istanbul TÜYAP Beylikdüzü Fair Center, is being held for the 15th time this year between February 10-13, 2011.
We are participating in Emitt, which is open to tourism professionals for the first two days and to the public for the last two days, with a special 80 m2 stand as in previous years; the event features 4,000 participants from hundreds of tourism centers and 60 countries, including agencies and hotels from Azerbaijan, Syria, Egypt, Dubai, Sharjah, Greece, Tunisia, Morocco, Japan, Italy, Moldova, Maldives, Seychelles Islands, and Russia, as well as Uzbekistan, RF Tatarstan, TRNC, Thailand, India, Yemen, China, and Algeria, across 10 halls in a 65,000 m2 area.
At the fair, which we will attend as Alanya under the umbrella of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation with the support of ALTİD and ALTSO, in addition to promotional documents, Alanya's unique silk woven products and ornamental gourds will be exhibited at our stand, and weaving and ornamental gourd processing will also be featured through practical demonstrations. At the fair, which will be attended by the chairpersons of the boards of directors of ALTAV, ALTSO, and ALTİD, as in previous years, two students studying in the tourism department will personally serve at our stand, and the participation of other students in the day trip and their visiting the fair will be ensured.
