Alanya promotion was carried out at the KAZAKHSTAN International KITF Tourism Fair. Kasımoğlu Kerim Yılmaz, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), represented Alanya. Yılmaz, who made contacts at the fair, stated the following:
Following the Russia Tourism Fair, we came to Almaty, a city of 2 million people in Kazakhstan, for the largest fair held in the Eurasian geography. At the fair held in Kazakhstan, which has a population of nearly 20 million, approximately 330 companies and 32 countries participated this year. The promotional activities held at the Almaty Atakent Fair and Exhibition Center lasted for three days.
“KAZAKH INCOME LEVELS ARE HIGH”
The countries that stood out at the fair were Turkey, Indonesia, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, China, Georgia, and Greece. Due to cultural ties, Kazakhs are quite close to Turks. The fact that Kazakh tourists visiting Turkey mostly have high incomes and are not heavily affected by the global economic crisis also increases the importance of this market for our country's tourism.
“STAY DURATIONS: 7-14 DAYS”
Kazakh tourism organizations are supported by the Tourism Industry Department of the Ministry of Investment and Development, the Kazakhstan Tourism Union, and the Kazakhstan Hotels and Restaurants Association. Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, and Germany lead the list of countries preferred by Kazakh citizens for tourism. The average length of stay for Kazakhs is between 7-14 days. Their preferred type of accommodation is 4-5 star hotels and resorts. Unlike other markets, they are fond of luxury shopping, dining out, and entertainment. They go on vacation as large families with children.
“ANTALYA IS THEIR FAVORITE DESTINATION”
They prefer the months of May, June, July, August, and September for vacation. The most important reason in the Turkish selections is sea, sand, and sun. The first preferred destinations of Kazakh tourists are Antalya, İstanbul, Marmaris, and İzmir, respectively. Since there are luxury-oriented and high-spending tourists in this market source, as long as we maintain high quality in service and hospitality, both the tourism sector and our country in terms of foreign exchange inflow will be the winners. Kazakhs are more generous than Russians in terms of per capita spending rates.

“NEGATIVE ALLEGATIONS AFFECTED RESERVATIONS”
According to information I received from other operator representatives selling our region, primarily from Tantur Official Ahmet Kaya, reservations are above last year's levels.
