The Mayor of Alanya, Adem Murat Yücel, visited the Alanya Sport Fishing and Fishermen's Association (ASOBDER) and received information about the "Alanya Jigging Tournament 2018," which will be held in Alanya on December 8-9, 2018. Mayor Yücel stated that they always support sustainable tourism and the diversification of activities that can be held in Alanya, saying, "Fishing tournaments attract great interest from all corners of the world. These groups follow tournaments held worldwide and participate in large numbers. The association's work is very successful. I believe that in the coming years, the tournament will appeal to a much wider audience."

"Hakan Kalaycı, the President of ASOBDER, provided information about the "Alanya Jigging Tournament 2018." He stated, "Our fishing tournament, which will be held at Alanya Marina on Saturday and Sunday, December 8-9, or on December 15-16 if the weather conditions are unfavorable, will have its preliminary registrations taken through the www.asobder.com website. Official registrations for the tournament will be accepted starting at 08:00 AM on the first day of the competition, and the start will be given from the Marina at 13:30. The competition on the first day will end at 18:30. The competition on the second and final day will begin at 07:00 and will end at 12:30, followed by the award ceremony at 14:30." Kalaycı also mentioned that this competition, which will be held for the first time in Alanya, is limited to 50 boats. "We will be awarding a total of 20,000 TL in prize money for categories including 'Largest Fish,' 'Catch and Release,' and 'Jury Special.'" The main sponsor of the event is Daiwa, and the following organizations are providing support: Alanya Municipality, Alanya Association of Tourism Operators (ALTİD), Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), Egetech, and Alanya Marina.
