High expectations in tourism.

The 4th Antalya Tourism Fair, held this year in Antalya and attended by over 10,000 tourism professionals, has concluded. Officials from the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), representing Alanya at the fair, stated that they are receiving positive signals from the UK and European markets, and are achieving occupancy rates comparable to those of 2019. ALTİD Chairman Burhan Sili and ALTAV Vice Chairman Mehmet Dahaoğlu expressed their hope that if a peaceful environment is established globally and the pandemic issues are resolved, 2023 will be at least as successful as this year.

The 4th Antalya Tourism Fair, which hosted more than 10,000 domestic and foreign tourism professionals this year in Antalya, has concluded. Alanya was represented at the fair, which featured 300 participants, by the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV). Burhan Sili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı (TGA) and the Türkiye Otelciler Federasyonu (TÜROFED), and the President of ALTİD, made a statement after conducting evaluations during his visits: "I believe that the Antalya Tourism Fair has hosted important meetings for our country's tourism. We had very beneficial face-to-face meetings with tour operators in Antalya, which is the capital of our country's tourism. We assessed the situation with representatives from our source markets in the UK and Europe and discussed our 2023 plans. It appears that if the global pandemic issues are eliminated and the peace environment progresses positively, we hope to have at least the same level of activity in 2023 as this year. Unfortunately, tourism is not possible in a region without a peaceful environment. In this regard, we hope to have a better year for humanity, for our region, and for our country's economy, within world peace."
“WE ARE RECEIVING POSITIVE SIGNS.”

Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of ALTAV and ALTİD, stated, "We achieved satisfactory participation. The fair, which has become a meeting point for the tourism dynamics of the Mediterranean region, saw high demand. We had the opportunity to see agency representatives, friends whom we haven't seen in many years, and there was participation from Alanya as well. During our meetings, we observed that we are on track to achieve a year as productive as 2019 in terms of occupancy rates. We may even reach even better levels by the end of the year. We hope that 2023 will be even better with the complete disappearance of the pandemic and the addition of new flight plans. We are receiving positive signals, especially from the European market, with the United Kingdom leading the way. In terms of the level of accommodation facilities and the quality of service provided, we are in a much better position compared to our competitors. We believe that when the war between Russia and Ukraine ends, the country's tourism will reach even better levels."
