ALANYA Association of Tourist Operators (ALTİD) Regional Consultation Meetings continue. This week's hosts for the meetings, where regional and tourism-oriented general problems were addressed and future solutions were discussed, were the hotel operators of Keykubat, Oba, and Tosmur. At the meeting held at Sunprime C-Lounge Hotel, the decline in reservations following the holiday, the measures to be taken against this decline, cost adjustments and capacity arrangements regarding current demand to be made without decreasing guest satisfaction, ensuring that people living in Alanya are primarily employed in hotels and providing these personnel with qualifications through training, the importance of the domestic market and the Scandinavia market where significant losses are experienced, and the strengthening of promotion in these markets were discussed.

“WE HAVE DEVELOPED A COMPUTER PROGRAM”

ALTİD President and Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member Burhan Sili, stating that they have accelerated efforts to expand the “Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program,” which will shed light on the future of Alanya tourism, said, “We need the knowledge of which guest profile we should appeal to in which market more than ever before. We have developed a computer program regarding determining which points of Alanya tourism should be reinforced and the steps to be taken in the promotion aspect of Alanya. The data obtained will be analyzed in universities and shed light on our future. 30 percent of our member hotels have started using the ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program.’ We aim to increase this figure to 60 percent by the end of the season. There are no security issues in using the program. Every operator carries out the installation of this program with their own computer technician with peace of mind. The ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program’ reveals regional data by accessing only the number, nationality, gender, age group, and number of nights stayed of the vacationers staying at the hotel.” Sili also said, “Following our regional meetings in the near future, we will organize another meeting where we will come together with all our hoteliers and agency managers to conduct mutual evaluations.”
