Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu stated that they have made it their duty to resolve the negative issues that will affect tourism and that the Olympic swimming pool will continue to provide active service during the winter months. TUROFED President Osman Ayık, while thinking that the summer of 2012 would not be bad in a general sense, emphasized that Alanya is undergoing a renewal process against the changing guest profile. Ayık also expressed that as TUROFED, they will provide support for the continuation of flights in Gazipaşa, which is Antalya's second airport.

Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu stated that it is impossible to speak of an economy where tourism has vanished in Alanya, and that eliminating all negative factors that will affect tourism and taking every kind of measure to increase tourist satisfaction is their most important duty. He expressed that after the Olympic swimming pool completes its transition to becoming one of the few large pools in the region and Turkey, it will serve more actively during the winter months, and he stated his belief that the candidacy for the 2013 World Cultural Heritage list will result positively.
TUROFED President Osman Ayık also evaluated the season in his speech. Pointing out that 2011 was a very good season in terms of Turkish tourism, Ayık stated that 2012 had started with losses but said that this process would improve in the coming days. He said that when looking at current data during this period, although there are differences among regional businesses, he believes that 2012 summer will not pass very poorly in a general sense. He emphasized that Alanya, as one of the starting points of Turkish tourism, serves as an example for all of us in many respects; that global trends, expectations, and guest profiles are changing every day; that while very limited countries were hosted in the early years, today guests from dozens or hundreds of different nationalities are being hosted in every region of ours; and that Alanya undergoes renewal and change within itself to always be able to appeal to the changing guest profile. He added that as TUROFED, they stand behind the fact that Antalya's second airport is located very close to Alanya in Gazipaşa and that they support the commencement and continuation of flights.
