A nature walk (trekking) was held as part of the Tourism and Chefs Festival, which took place between April 15-22 and was supported by the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD). Departing by jeeps from in front of Damlataş Cave, the group walked the 7-kilometer Laertes-Cebelireis Paragliding Area. At the point where the walk concluded, paragliding and environmental cleaning activities were carried out. Nature volunteers, led by the President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK) Suat Çavuşoğlu and ALTİD Manager Ali Kaptan, removed waste equivalent to two large trash bags from nature. Çavuşoğlu stated, “Nature is our everything. We must respect the trees and living beings here. Just as we do not throw trash on the floor in our homes, we must protect nature in the same way.” Additionally, a nature sports map showing ALTİD’s walking, cycling, and motorized vehicle routes was distributed to all participants.
