Güner stated that the interest of Serbian tourists in Alanya has been continuing since the 1990s and that this market intensifies during the high season. Expressing that the increase in flight opportunities would multiply the entry into alternative markets such as winter tourism, Güner said that new products such as skiing or gastronomy tours could be developed for the Balkan market. He proposed that a workshop could be organized within TÜROFED to bring together ski tour operators and winter hoteliers.

INCREASING FLIGHT OPTIONS IS IMPORTANT
Güner stated, "The arrival of Serbian tourists to Alanya began in the late 1990s, even before the war. At those times, I was a hotelier working here. There is demand during the summer season, but we have not been able to spread this demand over a wider period. For example, there is interest in ski tourism from Serbian tourists. However, ski tour prices in Türkiye seem expensive. As TÜROFED, we could hold a workshop on ski tourism and bring ski tour operators together with winter hoteliers. The increase in flights will multiply the entry into alternative markets such as winter tourism. This is a market that operates during the high season. Pegasus starting flights will extend this season both earlier and later."
THE SEASON NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED
Expressing that it is important for Alanya to have established its connection with the region early, Güner evaluated, "Antalya and Alanya have an important place in this market. The reason we take this market seriously is already that potential. The important thing is to be able to pull this forward, establish early bookings, and create a longer-term market."
Stating that they have received demand not only from Serbia but also from Sarajevo starting from the 1990s, Güner emphasized the need to offer new products in the Balkan market. Güner said that new products such as ski tours or gastronomy tours could be developed for the Balkan market.
